This is the story of Maria Dolz and how she fell inlove with a man that may -or may not- have an obscure story to be ashamed of. Once again, Javier Marias gives us a hint of what the story is without telling a lot about it in the end. He is a mastermind of disgressing and enunciating. He is very entertaining and profound but in the end, he might have not said a whole lot of anything. This is a book that is worth reading because Maria's style is trapping and fascinating, no matter what the story is at the end of the day.
