This is my least favorite novel by gregory Maguire so far. I loved Wicked and Confessions of the ugly step sisters, and Beauty, Lost was not based on an original fairy tale like the others that I have enjoyed so much.
I just could not get into the books. The story started off interesting and I wanted it to keep my interest, but it went from a ghost story to a paranoid girl with issues. I just didn't find this to be a very enjoyable read.
By far my least favorite of the Gregory Maguire books. After Wicked and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, I found this one rather disappointing.
