By far my least favorite of the Gregory Maguire books. After Wicked and Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, I found this one rather disappointing. I'm a huge fan of all things Gregory Maguire but this book was like a thorn in my side. I was determined to finish it, but grew gradually more confused and disappointed. Definitely not my favorite Maguire book, but he has plenty others to make up for it.

This is my least favorite novel by gregory Maguire so far. I loved Wicked and Confessions of the ugly step sisters, and Beauty, Lost was not based on an original fairy tale like the others that I have enjoyed so much.

I just could not get into the books. The story started off interesting and I wanted it to keep my interest, but it went from a ghost story to a paranoid girl with issues. I just didn't find this to be a very enjoyable read.
