  • Great book. Great writer. One of the best stories I had ever read

Very good, very entertaining. I loved each and every story. I will look up more books by this author if there are any. :-)

Very good, very entertaining. I loved each and every story. I will look up more books by this author if there are any. :-)

08-08-2011: I have finished the third story. It says in the foreword that this story must be read aloud in order to have any sense, and the author was absolutely right. The inmense imagination of this author leaves me speechless. He created a character that does not have body or face. The only thing the character has is a voice, and it is the reader's voice while reading the story aloud. I would never had imagined something like that. I am loving this book each day more.

07-30-2011: I have finished the second story "Ambrose his mark". It is a very funny reccount of how Ambrose got his name when he was an older child because his mother was kind of a freak. It is really funny and following the author's directions I have read it silently. The next one must be read aloud, so I might need a little more time to finish it...

7-24-2011: I can sense since the very first line of the introduction that this is going to be one of the masterpieces that I have ever read. The first story "Night-sea journey" is a description of what life is: a very difficult effort for surviving, that starts as a pleasant swim in a vast sea, but continues while we see our fellas drown and go to the bottom, and we need to continue because there is no other way to go. I am loving the expression in this book. I love the language and the images. An I have only read the first story so far
