  This was my first Hieronymus "Harry" Bosch novel, which is actually the 9th (out of 14*) in the series. Harry retired from the LAPD, who are operating under post 9/11 rules, and returns as a private eye. He investigates an old case concerning the murder of a production assistant on the set on a film. He not only sees THE lost light in a network of caves but also finds HIS lost light in the end... Excellent, fast-moving and gripping plot.

  Note: #14 "The Brass Verdict" is to be published in October 2008
