In the storyarc collected in this volume, three members of the regular cast of characters venture in the basement of the House Of Mystery, hoping to find an escape route.
The plot here not only is dragged, but in several circumstances it's really confusing, Moreover, since the revelations are so slowly revealed, they sometimes lost any relevance they had. For instance (spoilers from now on), Fig in the fifth issue is about to leave the house once and for all. But she, at the last chance, decides to stay. In issue 7, Harry asks Fig why she remained with them, receiving no answer. Finally, in issue 8, we know that Fig saw her dad with the Conception just outside the door, which caused her to prefer to stay trapped. Apart from the fact that at the end of the volume we know just barely why her dad is there, which is like to receiving no answer at all, the fact that there was somebody at the other side of the door in issue 5 is hidden, since neither the art or the writing give this hint.
May be dropping this series, it depends only if at the time of the third volume arrival there will be more interesting books to read. Anyway, it will be the book's last chance to convince me.
