Love Wins was a great read. Rob Bell does a great job detailing God's love for us. I honestly can not argue how well Rob tells this part of the story and how truly beautiful he details it out.
My concern though is that Bell leaves out how God is also just. Leaving this piece out it is very easy to detail out his point. Unfortunately without this piece we are left with only half the story....Continua
Even though I don’t agree with everything the author says or believes (I’m even more heretical than he is, and take things more metaphorically than even he does), I really loved this book and found myself agreeing with most of what he had to say. I found it to be a brilliant example of our need to reclaim our faith in a God of love, written in a casual, personal, and easy to read style that in its simplicity touches on matters of deep spiritual significance.
The author touches on some of the points that other Christian authors I have read have as well – the concept and translations of and for hell, the meanings of aion in reference to our idea of eternity, the idea of heaven/hell also being on here on earth, etc. – things each and every Christian should at least consider, even if they reject them in the end....Continua
