    I first heard this story in my first graduate program. The professor could not keep from crying. I immediately purchased it.

    I cannot read this without tearing up either.

    Gert, otoh, feels the premise of the book is silly.

  • My mom used to read this to my brother and I... she could barely make it through the whole book without crying, and now I do the same thing! It's such a touching, heartfelt story - every parent should have a copy for their baby.
