This is definitely an "active" book, not a passive one. If you just read it, you probably won't get too much out of it, but if you actually follow the exercise (there's really just one), it can produce some amazing results. I also think that this is one of those books that has to reach you at the right time. For me, it just seemed to be what I needed to hear at this time in my life. The exercise (investigate something that's bothering you, ask four questions, then turn it around) is very simple, but not necessarily easy. It's all about facing reality and being honest with yourself. I found the method, and Katie herself, to be pretty amazing. She has the most wonderful way of viewing life.
