As a traditional psychotherapist, Dr. Brian Weiss was astonished and skeptical when one of his patients began recalling past-life traumas that seemed to hold the key to her recurring nightmares and anxiety attacks. His skepticism was eroded, however, when she began to channel messages from the "space between lives," which contained remarkable revelations about Dr. Weiss' family and his dead son. Using past-life therapy, he was able to cure the patient and embark on a new, more meaningful phase of his own career.

Quite interesting if you want to know more about after-life or reincarnation
But really quite scary in a sense that we have to live so "many lives" and repeating the same struggles again in order to learn in each life time.

This book opens my eyes to other dimensions that you cant do experiment to show its existence but you are not dare not believing its existence. Personally, I cant say I believe in past lives and future lives but what I believe is karma.
Always behave in a way you have no regret and sorry to because there may be pay back or not that happens immediately or later.

I appreciate the courage of Dr. Weiss who made effort to have this book published and let people know there is indeed reincarnation.

The beginning of the story is really amazing that the women patient can recall the previous lives memory after get into hypnosis with the help by the doctor, the author of this book.

Her stories are fascinating, that she has been both man and woman, rich and poor in her previous lives. What is interesting is that she met the people in her previous life again. The affectionate doctor who really cared about her turned out to be her loving father in a previous life. Her boyfried who is manipulative and cruel to her, slitted her throat in a war in a past life....The world is smaller than we can imagine... and remember, isn't it?

But, when it goes to the in-between state, that seems pretty peculiar. She said that after each death, there is a state of rest and peaceful phase, where she is totally relaxed and waiting for the chance of next life. What is even more peculiar is that there are a lot of "masters" there in this state, and they even communicate through the women patient with the doctor (author of this book)!

Well, this sounds pretty strange, and against my believe on after life. Being a Buddhist, I believe that the last breath of this life will make the first moment of the next.

There is no transitional state in between according to the traditional Theravada Buddhist believe. There is no such thing as "Ghost" in between each life. There are however, living beings with spiritual power (e.g., hungry ghost, Asura) and totally different from human being in existance, who are mistaken as "Ghosts".

It is really difficult for me to beileve that the "Masters" will choose to make their statement is such a direct way too. I will take them as some Good spirits at most, not the angels or servants of GOD.

I don't believe in all-mighty-creator God in any sense.

Well, but it is a interesting book to read any way. Many of the "Masters" teachings like NO killing are eternal truth.

  • I lost myself when my dad passed away. I could not believe I cannot see him and talk to him anymore. This book gives me the hope that I can see him again in the future. People come into our life for a reason.
