A beautiful, moving memoir of an extraordinary life.
I have read this twice, and shared parts of it with my Chinese students who are learning English. It brought back many memories for them. I loved the detail of everyday lives.
I found it interesting that he now lives in Melbourne and works as a stockbroker, and that his daughter is deaf. She now has a cochlear implant.
I wasn't interested in this book but I kept hearing so many good things about it, so I got it from the library. I am so glad I did. I really enjoyed it and really find myself even wishing for more stories from his childhood. It's an amazing, inspirational book to me and I definitely recommend it to everyone!...Continua
