I've been reading De Carlo's novels since I was at the hisgh school (Treno di Panna..) and I (almost) liked them all.
This one was disappointing, however. After a quite promising start located in Rome with an indeed deep description of the kind of people, situations and feelings that we sometimes bump into, the novel little by little looses its sense.
It looks like De Carlo was forced to accelerate the publication of the book, the second part of which looks like some kind of draft of a "Da Vinci-like" that we see in dozens at bookstores..
