The weird thing about this book is that you can read it hundreds of times and still find a different book every time. When I first read it, what struck me was the ability Yourcenar has in dancing inside someone's head, if that makes any sense. Then you go back to it, and you find thoughts on politics, sociology, love, democracy...it simply covers it all, and in such a good way!
