Book Description

One of the most popular and beloved introductions to the concept of faith ever written, ‘Mere Christianity’ has sold millions of copies worldwide.

The book brings together C.S. Lewis’s legendary radio broadcasts during the war years, in which he set out simply to ‘explain and defend the belief that has been common to nearly all Christians at all times’.

Rejecting the boundaries that divide Christianity’s many denominations, ‘Mere Christianity’ provides an unequalled opportunity for believers and nonbelievers alike to absorb a powerful, rational case for the Christian faith.

CS Lewis no doubt is one of the world's most convincing Christian apologetics. I love the way Lewis "decoded" Christianity from a almost purely logically and rational perspective. But beneath all the objectivity and sense of reason is a God who defies all for the sake of humankind. As Lewis summarizes, Christianity is really all about God's love for us, and our everyday effort to be Christ-like.

A really powerful and thought-provoking book for Christians, and a perfect gift for those "rational" non-believers.

One of the best Christian books i've ever read. Lewis's writing is so clear, sensible and well-tempered, unlike many Christian books which tend to be overwhelmed by emotions and sentimentalities. For Christian readers, this book will clear up some of the doubts, or even misconceptions in Christian doctrines, while it offers a very fair account of the religion for non-believers. Everbody pls read!

Well written. If I were to be a Christian, I should like to be a Christian just like C.S. Lewis. But I am not a Christian. The most well-tempered and reasonable argument for Christianity I have read. However, I would still not say it is reasonable.

Lewis seems to have a habit of drawing false conclusions from sound premises. Counter-arguments to most of his points can be found in the writings of Sam Harris and Richard Dawkins.
