This book was entertaining at times, but the questions I kept coming back to in my mind was, "why am I reading this book again?"? The book is similar to what you'd get if you published a bunch of twitter posts and connected them with proper sentences. You'll hear about his toothaches, the girl who watches him from her bedroom window, the string of jobs he has held and random news clippings related to the Netherlands.
Again, I laughed out loud a dozen times or so but it wasn't gripping and unless you have absolutely nothing else to read and are in Amsterdam (like we were), I wouldn't recommend this book. If you're interested in finding out what it's like to live in Amsterdam, there are probably better books out there because "My 'Dam Life" focuses mostly on the trials and tribulations of the author....Continua
