You will understand this book if you do have a best friend. Some parts in it are very touchy.

I am so glad that I decided to put Richard and Judy's Summer reads on My Wishlist otherwise I would never have signed up for this title. Now I have found a new author for when I want something easy to read and her other titles will be going on the wishlist straight away. Resist the urge though, at least until you have read her work to think that she is just another run of the mill 'chick lit author' as she is certainly better than the average writer of this genre.
My Best Friend's Girl does have a happy ending, but oh what a roller coaster to get there. You will certainly need a hanky at the ready for the tears of sorrow, but it will also make you laugh.
I do agree with Flanners though that some scenes lacked detail and could have been expanded on. However that may have been difficult as it runs to over 400 pages anyway. I will watch this author with interest, after all it is only her third novel and it appears to be a great success as it has had to be reprinted five times already this year! It touches at the heartstrings as it is in the most part a realistic possibility!

I can't say I like this book from beginning to ending. I quit like the first half part, which plotted a lot of friendship, reality of death and new family of Ryn and Tegan (the little girl). I can't say I like this book from beginning to ending. I quit like the first half part, which plotted a lot of friendship, reality of death and new family of Ryn and Tegan (the little girl). It did make my eyes damp cause it described very exquisitely people's feeling when facing the death matter.
For the other half, especially after the ex (Nate) appeared, the love affair of one woman and two men has took too many pages. I simply thought it very disturbing to read so much details of weakness and struggling and not knowing whom to pick.
Anyway, it's a still a good read and I quite enjoy it. :D

Wonderful book that explores the real meaning of friendship, f0rgiveness, mother-daughter relationships and love.
