You can feel alone in a crowd.
The soul is a mysterious thing: people sometimes talk about the power of first impressions, and there is truth to it.
The path of your life can change in an instant. Not just the path of your life but the path of
all your lives, the path of your soul. Whether you remember or not. It makes you want to think hard before you act.
Recording is not the same as doing, remembering is not the same as living.
Those memories are in there somewhere. You act on them in ways you don’t realize. They
determine how you respond to people, the things you love and the things you fear.
You remember what is lost, and you forget what’s right in front of you.
What are all those centuries? They are days and years and months of memories. They are nothing. They are thoughts in mind and nothing more.
Thoughts are nothing. Memories are nothing. They are nothing you could touch. They take no time. You can fit them all on the point of a pin.
You could bring your entire world into doubt
in a span of a few seconds.
Gradual change is the easiest to take, and the giant leaps and losses can overwhelm you.

  • a god story but can't touching me. I usually cry a lot by reading this kind of story. this one just make me tired.
life is not all about memories, it's about love the people who love you, love the life you are living. not just chasing a girl who you loved once. daniel make me sick.

  • All in all, not bad. A nice story with an enjoyable background. The book starts to have a certain pace only after the first half, and ends too soon before we could enjoy the "resolution" to the script.
Anyway, a nice and entertaining love story that never falls to dull.

  • Would have been better if I hadn't already read The Time Traveler's Wife.
