I picked this book to read simply because of the author - I like Born To Run very much. Therefore, I was half expected this book as a sequel. Of course, this is not true.
This book covers "misfits who mastered the lost secrets of strength and endurance". As a rule of thumb, performance aberration in a basic skill is a good way to evaluate whether it is natural to a species.When you spot a giant ability gap between ages ad genders, you are looking at nurture, not nature. Besides, the author claims we should learn to get our energy from fat, not sugar as our ancestors did for ages.
I believe the topic is so broad that I sometime lost track of who's and who's in the chapters. To be precise, I'd prefer the book to cover a core topic, like the WWII plot line, with a few sub-plots such as Parkour or MovNat (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKGF-ErsJiI)....Continua
