This is a story that gives good reason for hope and optimism on gloomy days. It's the story of businesses waking up to current realities. Being proactive towards the future. So what are the changes? More people using fewer resources. Seeing a tree not only as wood pulp and jobs, but also as a carbon-eating, oxygen-producing component of our global life-support system. A natural genius that humankind cannot replace or substitute. (We've spent millions trying. Remember BioSphere in Arizona?) Two of the three authors of Natural Capitalism are man & wife, a team who run the Rocky Mountain Institute in Colorado. Back in the 70s they put a fully-functional design for a fuel-cell powered car on public domain, freely available for someone to produce for the market. The Big Three MAY make it that far someday. In the meantime, there's that abandoned sofrt-drink bottling plant down the road . . .
