    The first Carl Hiaasen I've read that is written for adults, but definitely not my last. Populated with a cast of quirky (and in some cases deranged) characters and plotted to ensure these characters get themselves into the maximum amount of trouble, this story keeps the reader entertained from beginning to end. It won't be long before I'm digging another Carl Hiaasen out of my TBR pile.

  • Full of colorful characters and drama makes for an enjoyable read. Policts and drugs add a plot to this book. Somewhat explicit sexual scenes that are on the wierd end of the spectrum, but otherwise a fun read.

Honey Santana—impassioned, willful, possibly bipolar, self-proclaimed “queen of lost causes”—has a scheme to help rid the world of irresponsibility, indifference, and dinnertime sales calls. She’s taking rude, gullible Relentless, Inc., telemarketer Boyd Shreave and his less-than-enthusiastic mistress, Eugenie—the fifteen-minute-famous girlfriend of a tabloid murderer—into the wilderness of Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands for a gentle lesson in civility.
