Not the best Christie out there
I always expect a certain something from Agatha Christie and this did not match up to those expectations. Normally, I am hooked to the Christie book the moment I start it and cannot stop until I find out "whodunnit". But in this book, I found that
nd that it dragged on at bits. Many passages, pages, and indeed chapters, were devoted to Miss Marple's thoughts on the matter at hand...which turned out to be VERY long-winded and ultimately boring. And what's more, I could guess quite early on "whodunnit" so there wasn't much excitement as there usually is with Christie book for me.
All in all, you should read it if you are a Christie fan just for the sake of reading all of her books. You'll be able to bear it...just. But if you're not, I advise you not to read it because you'll form a bad opinion of ALL her books from just this one and let me tell you that this is NOT one of her best or even one of her good ones.
