    • As usual, Picoult leaves you with an ending you never see coming. This book was a page-turner, as cliche as that sounds. I couldn't stop reading it, and was still thinking about it long after I finished.

I really enjoyed it, despite its subject matter being a school shooting. I'm still thinking about it... It was a random choice from the library shelf while I was grazing on my lunch hour. Ms. Picoult is a very good writer, if you read it, you will enjoy her well constructed sentences and excellent metaphors throughout, I stopped just to appreciate them. I was pleased and satisfied with the ending, so many books offer endings I find lacking. I am going back to the library to explore some of her other writings. I recommended to a few of my friends, hope they enjoy it too.

    • Good Drama. A bit too much though. Left me depressed whenever I put the book down.

An intense and gripping read. There were slow moments in the middle, but I like the narrative style of jumping between various points in time. A great attempt in providing an explanation for the cause of high school shooting tragedies; not only examining objective facts but also trying to provide insight into the mindset and thinking of everyone involved.

The surprise was quite unexpected. You knew something is not quite right, but just couldn't quite grasp on what that was.
