I had only read the first of the Stephanie Plum 'numbers' serie before I read this one, but this book was still very enjoyable in itself. I had only read the first of the Stephanie Plum 'numbers' serie before I read this one, but this book was still very enjoyable in itself. I did not know all of the characters, but they, as well as the main character were 'introduced' so that did not pose much of a problem. Still, there were references to events that took place in other books and though knowledge of them might not be absolutely necessary it did spark my curiousity.
This novel was easy to read, filled with strange and funny characters (I love Grandma Mazur and Diesel) and contained a huge bag of money, a casino and a kidnapped horse.

Not sure why I'm stalled on this, because I'm such a Stephanie Plum fan. I think it's because they are never satisfying as the numbered ones. Why is that?
