Pretty boring and pointless. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
A light novel, with some enchanting imagery here and there.
Pity that the story is so weak, with characters as thin as paper.
Pity that the narration is so slow - the author tells, tells, but barely ever shows.
Pity that the pov changes randomly, at times, letting to reader to wonder who is speaking - the narrator, or one of the characters?
It is not a terrible book, but it is a book that takes itself too seriously, and often seems to enjoy wasting the reader's time and patience.
I really was not at all impressed with this book. The plot rambles horribly, and many parts of the book seem pointless to the plot line. I kept reading until the end hoping for it to get better. It didn't.
The movie is really good, and the book is better.
I enjoyed this story of two pairs of sisters whose lives were touched by magic. I especially liked how both Gillian and Sally and Kylie and Antonia learned to take risks, trust their feelings and appreciate each other over time.
