the technology the Church finds the work to be familiar. As it has in the areas such as social teaching and morality, the Church has applied its millennia of expertise to each new development as they arrived. This book shows, first, that all Christians are called to use the communications technologies at their disposal to evangelize as part of their baptismal share in Christ's prophetic office. Second, it examines the Magisterial documents from roughly the last century, beginning with the founding of Vatican Radio onward, to show that the advice the Church offers for the use of communication technologies has been, at its core, unchanging and can be summarized in four tasks: the seeking of holiness, formation, participation, and dialog.
