Can one complete a graduate program in the U.S. without using this manual?
The style guide is very precise as to its specifications. I favor some other style points so need to refer to this for my scholarly writing.

Can one complete a graduate program in the U.S. without using this manual?
The style guide is very precise as to its specifications. I favor some other style points so need to refer to this for my scholarly writing.
Interestingly, the tag on the book states "Glassboro College store". I entered Glassboro State College for graduate school, had the school change to Rowan College, and right as I was about to be graduated, the school changed to Rowan University. I was provided a choice as to what my diploma would read.

It is not for reading, but it is a important manual/reference. Not funny but dry.....
