I read this play some years ago and I thought Mr. Shaw incredibly funny. Yesterday I was going over the Naxos audiobook collection at Cosmos Books at TST and found this. This play with its play of speech and accents, society and class calls to be heard, so I bought it.

I think it's good--there's not much choice anyway, you won't see it staged here.

(Pygmalion is the sculptor who falled in love with a stature he created and Aphrodite pitied him and gave life to the stature. Hence the title, for the professor who fell in love with the flower girl whom he transformed into a lady.) ...Continua
