Still time, safe places and special friends are all important for rekindling one's spiritual passion, but I don't think it's worthwhile to use a whole book for elaborating the ideas. The book is easy to read, but the tone is a bit more on benefiting self rather than pleasing God. On the whole, the key ideas are Scriptual and useful - not bad for reading, but you can find similar ideas in the Puritan's books.
P.S. I do not agree with the author in quoting Nouwen - why bother to use the idea of a Catholic when there is an abundance of Puritan's books on the same idea?...Continua
