As countless people, I was swept away by Gone with the Wind grandeur. And I also felt the sadness when Rhett left Scarlet at the end. So it was very fulfilling to welcome Rhett Butler back. The author of this book has fleshed out a story and a new cast of characters around the debonnaire, charming Southerner. I particularly like the fact that he revisited some scenes of Gone with the Wind but from Rhett's point of view. And I was pleasantly suprised to discover a more human, sensitive and generous Rhett. Do not worry... Rhett has not gone soft. He still has this daredevil edge! I cannot wait for the next installment.
