    Huge scope, plastic characters

I re-read this now and then for the sheer awe factor. The description of the Ringworld is so incredibly awe-inspiring that I don't care about the shallow characters or the weird story.

  • Not bad, but hardly a masterpiece

Ringworld is considered a classic in sci-fi novels, but still it lacks a lot in the characters development and scenes cohesion.
Still a better novel than most can be seen around today.

  • Short Review

Awesome Adventure. When some cowardly but very intelligent alien decides they want to research a mysterious world they enlist the help of two humans and another different alien. They have many adventures and a few "What ifs" during their arrival and escape from the world.
