I do not particularly like Nicholas Sparks, but I was really curious about this book.
I really liked it and it is a well written book, but I was sort of disappointed about the final chapter. I would've loved the book more without it.
This is a story about woman abuse: Erin leaves home to escape from her bad and violent husband, Kevin. She changes her identity and settles in Southport, a very small town where she meets Alex, a young widow with two little children. A new life begins for Erin, but her past comes back soon, to destroy her happiness. Well written and expertly plotted, 'Safehaven' reconfirms Sparks' ability in telling hard stories in a very tactful way through a never trite writing.
