As the pace of life quickens and people feel depleted physically, emotionally, and spiritually, going on retreat to recuperate and regenerate has become a common practice. The quiet and seclusion of a monastery, abbey, or retreat center provide the time, space, and conditions for the mind and heart to come to stillness.
