As everybody knows, the book guides us through the darkest days of World War II and narrates the amazing adventure of Mr Oskar Schindler, an ambitious and charmy man, always dressed like a film star, who was used to go to elegant dinner parties, who loved good food, excellent wines and gorgeous women, and who was able and committed to save a lot of innocent lives by making an enormous amount of money from his wartime factory.
The book reports quite well how Oskar succeeded in all this matter, but fails to explain why he did it. Nevertheless, this is a book of HOPE.
The book reports as well the inhuman life conditions suffered by the Jews in the labour camps and the ruthless atrocities daily committed by the cruel and heartless commandant Amon Goeth. And here too the book fails to explain why the commandant did perpetrate such a horrible crimes. But in this case, there is no answer and then no hope.
