Calvin and Hobbes is fun, but in a melancholic way. Anytime I read this strip, I cannot but think about Calvin as a grown-up... Will he attend college? Is he going to get married? Does he still keep his stuffed tiger in a closet, as a souvenir of days gone by?
I guess it is because my own kids are growing, and part of their childish features are slowly giving way to more mature ones: this is natural, but I know I will miss some (and some I definitely will not).
As always, Bill Watterson is a pretty good read.
