I highly enjoyed it. The idea of folk magic being real, and in direct opposition to Protestant Christianity is very interesting. Card makes great use of dialect. I highly enjoyed it. The idea of folk magic being real, and in direct opposition to Protestant Christianity is very interesting. Card makes great use of dialect. I was very aware of it, but it wasn't hard to read and really added to the story. It's true that the loose ends aren't completely tied up at the end, but it does make for a good cliffhanger. I still found the ending to be satisfying, though.
