A good reference for basic sewing

I like this book and go back to it often when I am working on my sewing projects. Although it only talks about making skirts, shirts and pants, it to really cover a lot of basics about sewing. It also tells you how to alter the basic sewing patterns which helps me quite a bit. The only complain I wo ... (continue)

I like this book and go back to it often when I am working on my sewing projects. Although it only talks about making skirts, shirts and pants, it to really cover a lot of basics about sewing. It also tells you how to alter the basic sewing patterns which helps me quite a bit. The only complain I would make is that the pants pattern in this book has the front pockets being attached on the outside which is not the most common style.

A great book if you are a beginning sewer or someone with some knowledge who wants some more detailed instruction. There are a few patterns included in the book that are very basic, but instructions are included on how to embellish. Gets your creativity moving!
