Lovely book, especially in the middle, when Liadan meets Bran and the whole time she spends with her poor sister, Niahm.
Sadly it disappoints me at the end, probably because it was pretty predictable. I expected more tension, more "fights" between Liadan and Eamon (I found him a very intersting villain).
I think the first one, The Daughter of The Forest, was far better than this, but there's another one to be read, and it often happens that the second book of a trilogy is the weakest.
Three stars by the way, Juliet Marillier deserves all of them.
It's delightful. It was quite predictable that she'd have fall in love with Bran, but it doesn't matter.
The book is amazing, really. I couldn't stop reading it. Wanna read the 3rd one!
