reading it for English class... very boring!
This excellent little book describes the experiences of a few Japanese people on the day the Atomic bomb was dropped in Hiroshima, and the rest of their lives.
It`s written in a very simple and matter of fact way to allow us to comprehend and understand the events and consequences of that day without turning away in disgust. Even so, parts of it are difficult to stomach, such as the description of victims whose flesh would slough off at the slightest touch.
In the last chapter the author does give some criticism, but what is really affecting about the book are the personal stories that help us to appreciate how awful that experience was.
