It starts as a tough reading for sure (especially for a non native speaker): loads of fictional terminology and situations of unclear context.
But if one endures few chapters and let oneself get caught by the story flow the beautiness of the book unravels: believable, tormented characters moving in the bleak scenario of an overpopulated Earth, pawns or players of a complex political game. Loved the witty dialogues and monologues.
Overall a marvelous book, although probably not for everybody taste.
