I'm a huge fan of the Dark Tower series by Stephen King, and i thought this book converted the story of Roland's childhood perfectly.
The story is cut down a fair amount, but it makes little difference as everything that is important stays right where it ... (continue)Shooxoot said on Sep 23, 2009 | Add your feedback

I've had this since Dec '08 -- and finally picked it up to read, 6 months later!
Having already read Stephen King's entire Dark Tower series, from the moment I turned the cover page for this bound collection of the comic series, I fell in luv w/the artwork!
Can't wait to see/read the final ... (continue)Lil Bit said on Jun 17, 2009 | Add your feedback

No, this time we don't start from there. Here we start with five students and a master, Cort. One of the students has forgotten the face of his father. Or has he?
We then follow Roland and his first ka-tet to Hambry, and through their fight with the Great Coffin Hunters until... until the Charyou Tree changes Roland's life forever.
I don't know how effective, how string this book would be to one who doesn't know the story yet (quite a lot, I think, actually), but sure in brought me back to some of my favourite characters, to the poetry and tension in the original books.
Really good.
