As the adult who bought the book, I'm disappointed. The character is totally uninteresting, very common, stereotyped. Considering how popular the Judy Moody series is, I thought this'd be great for a 6-year-old boy. I was wrong. Very repetitive plot with nothing happening. It's for children, make something happen!
We dragged this copy on our summer hols and I'm not sure why we didn't bother ditching in on the way. I made our son read a bit every day and it was painful to see him struggle and look so uninterested. We chose something else to keep his appetite for books.
From our 6-year-old point of view: "Did you like the Stink book?" adult asks.
He shows me a thumbs down.
"How may points between 0 and 5 would you give it?"
"0" boys says.
