I borrowed this booklet from my cousin, who is studying Japanese at Venice university. The story is pretty simple, but touching. The language used is clear and easy to read. Being a story from X century is extremely modern. Beautiful poetry, if you want to understand Haiku and their origin, here you will understande them.
At first sight I couldn't understand why the story is talking about 5 corrupted people. This is quite unusual in the japanese behaviour, mostly for those times... and then I realized that this is a educational story: be honest, be wise, otherwise you will be ashamed. This is a lovely story, highly recommended.
