Stranger with my Face was different to any other book I've read. It doesn't use monsters or ghosts to emphasise the horror, but the paranormal and spiritual.

When adopted teenager Laurie moves house with her adoptive family, she finds that things are starting to go weird - she's being told of things she's said and done that she has no recollection of.
Then, one day, she sees herself walking over the island she is now living on.
The book follows the mystery of the stranger with Laurie's face, and how she came to be.

I've read this book multiple times and I'll definitely read it again in the future.
