Sucks to Be Me

Mina is forced to make the biggest decision of her life in only one month: whether or not to become a vampire. Her parents are vampires who have been keeping her a secret for all of her sixteen years. But when the vampire counsel finally finds out about her, she has to start taking vampire classes along with other teenagers trying to make the same decision, and make her decision by the end of the course. The pros: living forever, never having to worry about weight gain, and being able to stay with her family. The cons: giving up the only life she has ever known, including her best friend, Serena, who is like a sister.

SUCKS TO BE ME is a fun, fresh take on what it means to be a vampire (Mina's dad is an accountant!) and whether she is sticking up for vampires or trying to muddle her way through her boy problems, Mina is irresistible.
