Refreshing take on "talent"...
This book changes my way of looking at "talents" in a new way; teaches me the concept of "deliberate practice" and most of all, hard work and certain sacrifices behind the story of most talents. ultimately, it's about knowing what we as individuals want to do, and what we believe in, then work hard ... In the classic nature vs nurture argument, this book support the latter - research results reveal that the so called talents (Mozart, Tiger Woods, etc) in fact spent quality time in practicing. Not normal practice, but deliberate practice with coaches/feedbacks.

In the classic nature vs nurture argument, this book support the latter - research results reveal that the so called talents (Mozart, Tiger Woods, etc) in fact spent quality time in practicing. Not normal practice, but deliberate practice with coaches/feedbacks.
While reading, I can't help comparing it to the 10000-hours rule mentioned in Malcom Gladwell's outliers. These two books are good supplement of each other
