That's what I call a masterpiece. It's the second book by Fitzgerald that I've read and I can say that he's definitely one of my favorite writers. Good story, good plot, good characters. A must-read.
I found this a hard book to rate; it started very good indeed, and then turned into another story. Always a pleasure to read Fitzgerald's prose, though.

About a quarter of the way through this book I realized I had read it before but enjoyed reading it again and refamiliarizing myself with the characters. This is the sad story of what too much money, alcohol and free time can lead to. Upon reading about what happens to Dick and Nicole Diver I almost seem happy not to be rich.
