    和Julia child一樣,Alice Waters投注了一生的熱情在食物與烹飪上,Waters特別提倡使用在地、有機的食材來做菜,才能吃的健康,書中介紹了西式料理的基礎烹飪手法,然後還附上一些富含變化的食譜,對於有志練習西式烹飪的人來說參考價值頗高,很多食譜也是非常吸引人,雖然有些食材可能本地無法取得,不過發揮一些創意應該還是可以用很多台灣現有的食材來代替,只是書中的重量單位還滿微妙,會有不是整數的重量,我想應該是原文用「磅」來計算,在翻譯時就直接換算成接近的公克重了~看起來有些不太適應。其實本書最大的感想是:雖然用橄欖油、蕃茄啥的是有比較健康啦~問題是橄欖油啦糖啦還是一樣半杯一杯的放這樣好嗎~
