A completely random choice from the library shelf, I ended up reading it in one go. What looks like a normal family becomes a knot of twisted relationships ending in a very crazy way (even if rather predictable). I can't recommend it more.
Probably more 3.5 than a 4/5. Unsettling in an interesting way - some of the moth science left me cold.
Overall a good effort. I really liked the two sisters and the characters in general were well developed.I liked the character of Ginny in particular, was she does at the end is believable. However the long descriptions about the moths become a bit tedious after a while and the 'secrets' revealed at the end were not very well kept, although perhaps that was done on purpose....Continua
I enjoyed this book, though I half expected most of the twists (some of which I found very predictable).
What I liked most was the unreliable narrator and the way you are acquainted with her and her mind, her fixations and her "reasoning", how you are led to question her statements and distrust her.
Though the behaviour of some of the characters may not seem too reasonable and some of the plot lines remain open, I would recommend this book for a hot summer day or for a long winter night... to enjoy with a cup of hot, milky tea!!
