The Book of the Dead

Interessante e avvincente anche questo romanzo con protagonista Pendergast (Aloysius); questo è il terzo libro della saga di Diogene. Solito sfondo del Museo di Storia Naturale di New York, una tomba maledetta e i soliti protagonisti che tornano. Capitoli brevi con l'azione che si sposta appunto tra le varie "figure" presenti sulla scena.

A package of fine dust delivered to the Museum turns out to be their diamond collection, Aloysius sits in prison, framed for three murders and Diogenes sets his true plan in motion. As Aloysius' friends plot to free him, a benefactor funds the opening of an Egyptian Tomb at the museum. Mysterious deaths begin to occur and they are somehow tied to Aloysius, Diogenes and their childhood together.
