"The Boy Who Couldn't Sleep and Never Had to" was an interesting experience for me: I started reading the typical story of the nerd teenager that nobody pays attention to, and ended up finishing a fantasy/pseudo science-fiction story involving monsters and cyborgs and all kind of stuff that we can find in movies like star wars or avatar... The latter is not my preferred reading and had someone told me that this book is about that, I had never read it. But the fantastic thing of this book is that I actually enjoyed it. It started normally and I bought the initial thesis: a boy cannot sleep. After a while, I bought more and more incredible facts (the nerd boy finds a girlfriend, the boy that can't sleep is chased by a government agency...) and later in the book I end up buying that the boy that cannot sleep is able to bring to life all sort of different monsters... Hm. I was so entertained by the story that I didn't even consider all the facts that I was buying until it ended and I went "wait a minute, mr. author... you just have fooled me in the most incredible way!" He took my hand and made me read all his book about monsters and mutants and I don't even regret it. Even more: I am craving for more; I am dying to see if what he has done to me can be repeated with another book, and I will certainly give the next book a try. More, please.
